Community Picnic - Saturday July 17th 2010
This was the first community event at Eastcote House Gardens since Eastcote House was demolished in 1964.

The replanting of the Walled Garden, carried out by the Friends of Eastcote House Gardens and funded by the Big Lottery Changing Places scheme, was the main focus of the event. The Mayor of Hillingdon Cllr. David Yarrow, unveiled a plaque to commemorate the project.

Morris Dancers and a Mummers Play performed by the St. Lawrence Players echoed the historic setting.

With a Classic car rally, Teddy Bear’s Picnic organized by the Eastcote Horticultural Society, Eastcote Arts Society, a plant sale, and lots of stalls it was a wonderful celebration…and the sun shone!
