Storytelling comes to EHG - 6th February 2016
Pippa Reid and Claudia Mernick entranced listeners young and old with a collection of stories including 'How Bear lost his tail'. The storytelling session was part of National Storytelling Week, continuing the time old tradition of storytelling.

In Voice and Verse - May 20th 2016
A celebration of the Bard's 400th birthday was held in the Stables. The trio, In Voice and Verse, performed Shakespeare's Greatest Hits to a sell out audience. Belinda, Heather and Lance received a standing ovation. The Deputy Mayor of Hillingdon Cllr. Carol Melvin kindly attended this first concert to be held in the Stables. The trio will be back December 7th with a seasonal entertainment.
Summer Picnic - June 4th 2016
Not the brightest of days, but the wind and rain stayed at home. Picnicers where entertained by the High Note Singers and the Hills Community Gospel Choir. The Dog Show was well attended raising £79 for the Harefield Dog's Trust. Graham Pellow of Eastcote Arts gave a day long demonstration.
Home made cakes were available from the FEHG Tea Garden and plants from the FEHG plant stall. For the more energetic the Tug of War and Scouts climbing wall were available. Many stall representing local groups with west Middlesex Woodturners displaying items made from wood from Eastcote House gardens and Harrow Beekeepers.

The Herb Beds
The FEHG have worked to remodel the Queen Elizabeth Herb Beds. First planted in 1977 to celebrate the Queen's Silver Jubilee, a new look was needed for the 90th Birthday celebrations. The Mayor of Hillingdon Cllr. John Hensley unveiled them at the Summer Picnic on June 4th 2016. Each herb bed contains plants for a particular purpose, Culinary, Household, Medicinal & Cosmetic.

The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service - September 3rd 2016
The Friends of Eastcote House Gardens were presented with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service on Saturday 3rd September 2016 in the Stables at Eastcote House Gardens.

London Open House 18th September 2016
Eastcote House Gardens took part in the 2016 London Open House Weekend. The Dovecote and Stables were open to the public with informative exhibitions. To add some extra interest there were community stalls and a Classic Car Rally. The Mayor & Mayoress of Hillingdon attended the event.

Tree Dressing 26th November
The Friends of Eastcote House Gardens were pleased to welcome the Mayor & Mayoress of Hillingdon Cllr. John Hensley and Mrs. Diane Hensley to lead the annual Tree Dressing. The massed choirs from Coteford Infant School, Field End Infant School, Warrender Primary School and members of the 6th Eastcote Beavers and Cubs started the afternoon with seasonal songs. Over £183 was raised for the Hillingdon Brain Tumour Group.

In Voice and Verse gave a second sell-out concert in the Stables. The Deputy Mayor of Hillingdon Cllr, Carol Melvin and her Consort Mr. Andrew Melvin attended.
